Work has been pretty harsh lately, so I’ve been feebly attempting to unwind with video games.

I purchased Romancing Saga, Soul Calibur 3, and Dragon Quest 8 this last couple weeks.

I haven’t even stuck SC3 in the ps2 yet…

Dragon quest 8 is pretty good, standard DQ fare, but so far it seems to have less potential than DQ7. DQ7 let you rebuild the world… I like games like that. (Also why I play Dark Cloud 1&2, Terranigma, and Soul Blazer.) So far DQ8 is more traditional.

Rented Makai Kingdom as well. It seems so far like a mix of Disgaea and Phantom Brave, but it does seem much easier to get started in. I should probably pick it and AI: Eternal Mana up sometime. They’re likely to disappear from stores like Disgaea did…

I went on about a 2 month talk radio binge here, and I think I’m finally starting to burn out on it. At least… All except the Glenn Beck program. He’s much more entertaining and much less repetitive than the rest of talk radio. At least two of the people on our local station I had noticed myself turning off every time they came on. (Sean Hannity & Michael Savage)

I finally just subscribed to Glenn Beck’s website and stopped listening to the news station. He at least gives other points of view a listen and doesn’t always drone on about politics constantly. This way I can listen to the 3rd hour my local station doesn’t even broadcast, and I don’t have to leave work early to listen either…

I may tune in to hear Limbaugh or Boortz now and then. I frequently don’t agree with them, but at least they’re not as irritating as savage/hannity.
