It never ceases to amaze me, how little Americans know about guns, gun laws, or anything gun-related. I can understand that they don't know jack about airplanes, after all only one in 500 is a pilot at all, even fewer own personal airplanes. But guns? Aren't we supposed to have like... a lot? And yet everyone behaves like they never been to a class, which BTW are fucking mandatory in many states.

@zaitcev I think that the people complaining about their existence are definitely the ones who haven't been to a class on them. Maybe we should invite non-firearm-owners to the hunters safety classes. I think about 1/3rd of the households in the country own the vast majority of the guns and maybe 1/4th of the country understands them at anything beyond a basic level.
